Abstract:
Effects of some thermo-physical parameters on free convective heat and mass transfer
over a vertical stretching surface at the lowest level of heat energy in the presence of
suction are investigated in the presence of suction. At constant function of thermal
conductivity, the dynamic viscosity of the fluid is assumed to vary as a linear function
of temperature. A similarity transformation is applied to reduce the governing equations
to a coupled ordinary differential equations corresponding to the momentum, energy
and concentration equations. These equations along with the boundary conditions are
also solved numerically using shooting method along with Runge-Kutta-Gill method.
The effects of thermo-physical parameters on the velocity, temperature and
concentration profiles are graphically shown. It is found that with an increase in the
value of temperature-dependent fluid viscosity parameter, the velocity increases while
the temperature and concentration decrease across the flow region. Dufour, Soret,
Frank-Kamenetskii, Prandtl and Schmidt numbers activation energy also has an effect.
Numerical data for the local skin-friction coefficient, the local Nusselt number and the
local Sherwood number have been tabulated for various values of certain parameter
conditions.

Abstract:
The objective of this article is to present the dynamics of an Upper Convected Maxwell (UCM) fluid
flow with heat and mass transfer over a melting surface. The influence of melting heat transfer,
thermal and solutal stratification are properly accounted for by modifying the classical boundary
conditions of temperature and concentration respectively. It is assumed that the ratio of inertia
forces to viscous forces is high enough for boundary layer approximation to be valid. The corresponding influence of exponential space dependent internal heat source on viscosity and thermal
conductivity of UCM is properly considered. The dynamic viscosity and thermal conductivity of
UCM are temperature dependent. Classical temperature dependent viscosity and thermal conductivity models were modified to suit the case of both melting heat transfer and thermal stratification. The governing non-linear partial differential equations describing the problem are reduced
to a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations and
completed the solution numerically using the Runge-Kutta method along with shooting technique.

Abstract:
This paper examines the steady-state solution of a laminar falling liquid film with variable viscosity along an inclined heated plate. The existence and uniqueness of solution to this problem was investigated and it was found that the problem has a unique solution. Numerical solution via shooting techniques were employed in tacking the non-linear coupled momentum and energy balance equations. The Brinkman number and variable viscosity parameter play a prominent roll in the construction of the numerical solution. The velocity and temperature profiles of the liquid film are displayed in graphs.

Abstract:
A non-linear parabolic equation is considered .In this analysis the parabolic equation is reduced to an ordinary differential equation with the help of similarity variable. The resulting O.D.E. is solved through numerical method via finite difference and particular interest is paid to the contribution of the convective term to the system, the results are also presented in graphs.

Abstract:
In this study, we considered a steady state, exothermic chemical reaction, taking the diffusion of the reactant into account and assuming an Arrhenius temperature dependence with variable pre-exponent factor. Numerical solution is constructed for the governing nonlinear boundary value problem using finite difference scheme .The effect of Frank-Kamenetskii, activation energy parameter and pre-exponent factor on the temperature were also examined, result were displayed in graphs.
